While table salt is inexpensive and readily available, it is not the healthiest option due to its high sodium content. Too much sodium can lead to high blood pressure, heart disease, and stroke.

Sea salt is made by evaporating seawater. It contains many minerals that are beneficial to health, including magnesium, calcium, and potassium. These minerals can help regulate blood pressure and improve bone health. Sea salt also has a lower sodium content than table salt, making it a healthier option.

Himalayan salt is mined from ancient sea beds in the Himalayan Mountains. It contains over 84 trace minerals that are beneficial to health, including iron, potassium, and magnesium. You can also find Himalayan salt lamps that can improve air quality by negative ions that bind to pollutants in the air and neutralize them. I had one and need to go find it after writing this!

Salt is an essential ingredient that we all love and use daily. Remember that table salt is not the healthiest option due to its high sodium content. If possible, use sea salt or Himalayan salt because they are more beneficial to your health, which is why I keep it in my kitchen. It’s another way to get trace minerals in my diet.
